Nestled in the heart of the city center, 976 Restaurant has become a favorite gathering spot for office workers looking to unwind after a long day. These days, grabbing a beer with colleagues after work has become a growing trend in Mongolia, and 976 nails the vibe perfectly.

Il Punto was once a membership-only bar, and I wasn’t particularly interested in it at first, even after it opened to the public. But recently, I decided to check it out, and now I completely understand why people rave about it. Hidden away in a spot that’s a bit tricky to find for those who struggle with directions, stepping inside feels like being transported to another world—somewhere akin to Paradiso in Barcelona, Atlas in Singapore, or Hope & Sesame in Guangzhou.
From the moment you enter, the interior makes an impression. The bar is a feast for the eyes, with every corner telling a story. The VIP room door, the sleek bar seating, and especially the main hall with its red curtain stage create a mix of mystery and sophistication. On certain nights, Mongolian artists like Uka might perform there unannounced, adding a thrilling element of surprise.
The ceiling and walls are adorned with artistic wonders reminiscent of The Creation of Adam, blending ancient Greek aesthetics with the bold ambiance of a modern bar. The bar staff are incredibly friendly and eager to share stories about the bar’s design and the inspiration behind its artwork. If you’re lucky, you might catch Mr. Munkh-Orgil, who brings the space to life with his storytelling.

If you’re a Negroni fan, theirs is on point and worth savoring.
